The High Life Festival Theatre Edinburgh 7th April 2026 Review
The High Life Festival Theatre Edinburgh 7th April
This show of course is based on the now iconic BBC Scotland series "The High Life" which first premiered in 1995 on BBC 2. Although the series only consisted of six, thirty minute episodes, this show, written by and starring Forbes Masson and Alan Cumming, with its very Scottish,  often surreal humour, swiftly found a place in the hearts of many viewers, and re-runs of the show over the years have proved equally popular with new generations of audiences too.

The Constant Wife Festival Theatre Edinburgh 31st March 2026 Review
The Constant Wife Festival Theatre Edinburgh  31st March
As you would also expect from RSC, all the cast here have extensive performance careers and this individual and combined stage experience is evident all through the performance. At its heart, "The Constant Wife" is a light hearted marital affair comedy, albeit with some serious topics underpinning the story, and to do this type of performance well on stage, you need a cast with perfect timing and that light comedy touch too. This cast were perfect for their respective roles.

The Light House Traverse Theatre Edinburgh 28th March 2026 ReviewPicture
The Light House Traverse Theatre Edinburgh 28th March
Despite the name, The Light House has nothing to do with lighthouses, or even houses, but it has a lot to do with lights, but again, not the obvious use of a light as something external which we switch on or off. This is the light that a person can shine from within their own self to act as a beacon, a ray of hope in the darkness for someone that they know who is in darkness and needs to try and find a way out of this lonely place.

RSNO Ethan Loch plays Gershwin Usher Hall Edinburgh 27th March 2026 Review
RSNO Ethan Loch plays Gershwin Usher Hall Edinburgh 27th March
Tonight, "Rhapsody in Blue" was the perfect music for Ethan Loch as his ability to feel the music and become part of it was just as important as his technical skills on piano, and his pleasure at performing to this audience tonight was obvious.  In return, the applause given to Ethan for this and a cadenza from his own larger composition was fully justified.
